about DJ SUAVE
Proud Latino, born in Argentina and raised in Chile. My family moved to Sydney, Australia when I was 8. Early on I noticed that I had a passion for music. Ever since I was little I can remember loving music. Coming from a Latin background I was mostly brought up on Latin music. I continue to love Latin music in all its flavors but I don't like to focus on one particular style. I like variety. I love Salsa, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Bachata, Boleros, etc. In my teenage years I developed a liking to RnB/Hip Hop.
I started DJing at the age of 15 mostly doing friends parties. Word soon spread and I was constantly DJing at Uni parties, Weddings & other functions around Sydney. It was at one of these functions where I met the owner of several restaurants in the Sydney CBD and he mentioned that he was looking for a DJ to do a Latin Night every Thursday, Friday & Saturday night. This turned into a regular gig for a few years. Working at my day job and DJing 3 nights a week eventually wore me out.
I then decided to move to Perth to chillax. I've been in Perth since 2004, and started DJing at Urban Fiesta - Metropolis Fremantle in November 2004 every Friday night.
It hasn't been easy being on top of the Latin DJ scene. There are many people that support and encourage you but at the same time there's a few jealous people out there that would love to see you crash & burn. I've worked hard to be where I am today and nothing was ever given to me for free. So if you wanna be on top you gotta make sacrifices and work hard. I'm generally an easy going type of person. I don't think Im the best DJ there is cause Ive worked with plenty that are better than me. I do believe though that I have something unique and I have a gift of getting people on the dancefloor and the crowd pumped up quicker than most DJs. As a DJ all I want to do is give the best that I have to make Urban Fiesta the best Friday Night venue in Perth (which I believe it is). So far so good.
I've learned that life is short so make the most of it. Continue to live your day like its your last and continue to appreciate what you have cause one day you may not have it.

about URBAN FIESTA
Urban Fiesta is the longest running Latin Night in Perth. It started way back in November 2004. It's a night run by Latinos for Latinos. It's the only place in Perth where you will hear Salsa, Cumbia, Reggaeton, Bachata, blended in with RnB & Hip Hop all in the one night. Resident DJ Suave with regular special guests including DJ Cristian, Chilli, & D-Tuck play the latest & greatest in Latin sounds & Urban rhythms. Plus we are the only Latin nightclub in Perth to have regular guest DJs from all over Australia including DJs: Don Juan, Agee Ortiz, Dante, & Raza plus many more to come.
The 5 year anniversary in November 2009 was the biggest Friday night in Perth & that's just the beginning.
It's not easy to remain fresh after over 5 years but we try our best to make sure that Urban Fiesta is Perths Hottest Friday night because in the end everyone knows that LATINOS DO IT BETTER.
